President's 90th Birthday

and unveiling of anniversaries plaque

n ceremonies held at Priory School on his 90th birthday, our president - Ivor Wycherley unveiled a plaque to commemorate last years reunion meeting and the 80th and 50th (respectively) anniversaries of school's founding and chapel dedication. Everyone then retired to the headmaster's study where Ivor received a birthday gift of a copy of 'The Times' newspaper published on 6th May 1921 and cut a celebration cake.

Present at the ceremonies were Ivor, his daughter Anne, John Davey, Martyn Relf, Tony Smith (HM of Priory School) and Martyn's sister Lis Gordon - also a former LCGS pupil - who works at Priory School and who baked the cake.
