THIS newletter has come to light from an Old Girl of LCGSG. It would seem to be about a reunion being planned, possibly for that autumn. Perhaps someone can recall the circumstances and name of the author. Did a reunion take place? So often newsletters and similar alumni periodicals from the pre-internet era failed to deliver their message and frequently never made it to a second issue - it was simply too much effort and expense for so little reward. Could the author have ever imagined that nearly twenty years later her efforts would have been published for all the world to see at the click of a mouse? At last it has emerged. Old news indeed!
If you can shed any light on the circumstances and consequences of this newsletter perhaps you could post your comments on the Girls Forum. The name is unusual. In Sussex a twitten is a narrow path that serves as a convenient shortcut to a place frequently visited. To which particular twitten does the title allude? A path to LCGSG frequently used by pupils? Could it perhaps have been the long path from the school entrance in Southover High Street that can still be seen on Google Street? [See page XI below]
