A small group of LCGSG and LCGSB ex-pupils and friends of the 2 primary schools occupying the former school, are engaged in renovating the Golden Gates - which were erected in 1963 to commemorate the Golden Anniversary of the Girls' School. The heraldic shield (escutcheon) at the top of the lintel was expertly refurbished using enamel and gold leaf during January, and the cleaned gates, posts and lintel will be repainted during February.
